Hearts surgeons and medical doctors at the St Michael’s Specialist Hospital (SMSH) have performed their first successful cardiac catheterization on a Nigerian patient who traveled to Ghana to seek medical assistance at the new state-of-the-art fully Ghanaian-owned private hospital which was commissioned by President Akufo-Addo on Saturday, 30 September 2023.
The team that performed the medical process on the medical tourist (the Nigerian patient) at the SMSH was led by Dr Lawrence Sereboe, a renowned Cardiothoracic Surgeon and former Director of the National Cardiothoracic Centre at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
